CXT Software, a leader in providing automation technology to the expedited delivery and distribution industry, recently celebrated its 10th year in business. The company offers an extensive software product suite including X Dispatch (on-demand delivery), X Route (route and distribution management), X Mobile (mobile applications and GPS tracking), X Internet (web-based ordering and tracking), and X Import (file-based integration). All products are available as installed or hosted solutions.
In the late 1990s, Dan Calderone and Lyndon Edmonson struggled to find the right software for their courier businesses. Software packages available at the time lacked features, had fallen behind the technology curve, and were priced beyond their budgets. The two industry veterans decided to take matters into their own hands, combining their 30 years of experience to form CXT Software. Their mission: To design a software package enabling larger companies to manage and control all lines of business, while also enabling smaller companies to grow, compete and thrive in an ever-evolving industry. In January 2000 they launched X Dispatch, CXT Software’s flagship product.
Today, CXT Software is a leading provider of software and mobile resource management technology for same-day, time-critical delivery and distribution businesses throughout the U.S. Leading-edge products, dedicated staff, world-class support, and high ethical standards position CXT Software to exceed its customers’ expectations and help them win in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Dan Calderone is a founding partner of CXT Software. He is responsible for software architecture, product direction, business development and long-term business strategy.
Prior to co-founding CXT Software with Lyndon Edmonson in 1999, Dan co-founded 2-Point Courier, Inc., a startup same-day delivery company in San Diego, California. It was during this time he began developing the software platform needed to solve the unique challenges of managing the daily operations of his same-day delivery company. Order processing, driver rating, dispatching, invoicing, time recording and driver payroll/settlement tasks were united under a single software solution. 2-Point Courier, Inc. was sold in 1996 in a stock transaction to a large publicly-traded delivery corporation where Dan remained for the following three years as an Information Systems Director responsible for managing a team of IT professionals charged with transitioning newly acquired delivery companies to corporate standard business software.
After returning to Phoenix in the spring of 1999, utilizing the latest technology and drawing from his past experience as an owner of a same-day delivery company, Dan began developing a new software platform from the ground up to be the most comprehensive, user friendly, and powerful software solution for the unique business needs of same-day delivery companies. X Dispatch was officially deployed in January of the following year.
Lyndon Edmonson is a founding partner of CXT Software. He is responsible for software architecture, product direction, business development and long-term business strategy.
Prior to co-founding CXT Software with Dan Calderone in 1999, Lyndon co-founded Connection Couriers, Inc., a startup same-day delivery company in Phoenix, Arizona. During this time, he further developed the software platform originally architected by Dan Calderone of 2-Point Courier, Inc. Lyndon added functionality for planning and managing routes, manifest printing, route invoicing and route driver payroll/settlement necessary for the routed business management required by his same-day delivery company.
Although a financial partner from its inception, Lyndon dedicated his full attention to CXT Software following the sale of Connection Couriers, Inc., in June 2000 to a local competitor. Once again, his past experience as an owner of a same-day delivery company dictated the need to include the unique solutions required by those companies performing routed delivery services within CXT Software’s product line.
Lyndon holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Arizona State University.
